COVID-19 Response (May 2020 - September 2021)

During the pandemic, we provided essential support to migrant workers in Delhi and rural villagers in Munger District, Bihar. Our efforts included:

  • Ration Distribution: To ensure no one went hungry.
  • Women’s Hygiene: Distribution of sanitary napkins to promote hygiene care.
  • COVID-19 Awareness and Mask Distribution: Conducted both online and in-person.
  • Milk and Food for Babies: Addressing the nutritional needs of infants. These initiatives were made possible through internal funding and generous donations.

Empowering Women and Children: Silai & Tuition Centers

At Astha Kunj Society, our Silai Center provides women with valuable stitching skills and job opportunities to help them start their careers or small businesses. Once trained, we support them in launching their professional journeys. Additionally, our Tuition Center offers free educational support to children, helping them achieve academic success and a brighter future. These initiatives aim to empower women and children, creating opportunities for independence and growth.

Daan Utsav 2024: Spreading Kindness

Started on October 1, 2024, the Daan Utsav campaign has successfully collected clothes from Sidharth Extension to support those in need. The initiative will continue until December 2024, ensuring that these items reach the right people, bringing warmth and care during the festive season. Thank you for your support in making a positive impact on the community.

Felicitation for Contribution to TB Mukth Bharat Initiative

Astha Kunj Society is honored to have been recognized by the delegates of TB Mukth Bharat for our active participation in the national effort to eliminate tuberculosis. Being part of this transformative initiative has been a privilege, and we remain committed to creating greater awareness and support within the community for this crucial cause.

Proud Recognition by DM South East District
In a moment of pride, Astha Kunj Society was felicitated by the District Magistrate of the South East District for our unwavering dedication to working with TB patients. Over a span of six months, we organized impactful programs and extended support to TB patients, contributing to the vision of a TB-free India.

We look forward to continuing our efforts toward better health, well-being, and an empowered community.

Legal Awareness Program at Ghari Anganwadi

On January 4, 2023, a session at Ghari Anganwadi SSK 53 focused on empowering 20 women through awareness of the Legal Framework for Women’s Protection and the One Stop Center – “Sakhi” scheme. The program also engaged 18 children, creating an inclusive environment. This initiative aimed to equip underprivileged women with knowledge of their rights and government support systems.

Blanket Distribution
Drive

Astha Kunj Society, with the support of Ex-Councillor Sh. Abhishek Dutt ji, organized a Blanket Distribution Drive on January 8, 2024. 30 blankets were distributed to the underprivileged, providing much-needed warmth during the winter. We sincerely thank Sh. Abhishek Dutt ji for his generous and immediate support in making this initiative a success.

Material Collection and Distribution

Collected essential items from our local community, such as clothes and food, and redistributed them to people in need, ensuring continuous aid to the underprivileged.

Social Awareness
Sessions

Conducted workshops on important social issues, including:

  • POSH Awareness: Educating college students on preventing sexual harassment.
  • Menstrual Hygiene in Bihar: Organized health education sessions for women on menstrual care.

Health Camps in South East Delhi

On 20th January 2024, Aero Business Solutions, in collaboration with PSRI Hospital and Astha Kunj Society, organized a Free Health Camp at Radha Krishna Mandir, Amar Colony, Lajpat Nagar-IV. The event saw great participation, offering free medical check-ups and consultations to the local community. This initiative aimed to enhance health awareness and provide essential healthcare services to those in need.

Women Empowerment and Livelihood Initiatives

Supported women in gaining financial independence through skill-building programs that empower them to create sellable products. This initiative offers a sustainable source of income and promotes self-reliance.

Free Legal Aid and Government Assistance

Provided free legal aid with a focus on domestic violence cases, helping individuals navigate essential government processes in Delhi and other states.

Environmental Awareness Programs

Promoted eco-conscious practices in schools and public places through:

  • No-Plastic Campaigns: Educating communities on reducing single-use plastics.
  • E-Waste Management: Encouraging responsible disposal of electronic waste.
  • Sustainability Engagement: Involving communities in tree plantation and waste management.

Support for Migrant Welfare

Assisted migrant workers in registering for government schemes like e-Shram cards, insurance, and Mudra loans, enabling them to access necessary financial support.

Informal Education for Children

Provided informal education to children in underserved areas, supporting their growth and development for a brighter future.
